Note:Indicator Definition: Number of years of life "lost" when a person dies "prematurely" from any cause, before age 75. E.g. a person dying at age 25 has lost 50 years of life.
For 2001, provincial-level potential years of life lost was calculated only for suicide and unintentional injuries.
